O₂ Academy Liverpool
The 1,200 capacity O2 Academy Liverpool has already established itself as a major player on the UK touring circuit, attracting the same high profile, internationally acclaimed artists already performing at Academy Music Group venues. From rock legends, indie all-stars, cutting edge dance and urban acts.
The 02 Academy Liverpool host the Jar Music Group's (JMG) "Plugged In" showcase held in partnership with the biggest music media, press and record labels. The event is industry acclaimed as one of the best for showcasing the rising talent of the future and providing them with exposure necessary to achieve their music ambitions.
Formerly the Lomax site, this 19th century warehouse building at 11-13 Hotham Street, is steeped in musical history. Production complete with top class facilities for live music, AMG has made the greatest efforts to ensure that its venue is a favourite with artists and audiences alike.
In September 2003, the storming launch night with local heroes Shack, triggered a taste of things to come and a spectacular diary of events.
O2 Academy Liverpool hosted Trevor Nelson's MTV Awards after party, as well as Perez Hilton's 'One Night In Liverpool'.
Deltasonic Records held their Christmas party at the venue in aid of Alder Hey Children's Hospital featuring an amazing line-up of The Zutons and The Rascals and in The Coral, The Dead 60's and Little Flames played live, not to mention a special live appearance from Arctic Monkeys in 2009 and Kings Of Leon in 2010.
