Steinberg Joins Forces with Jar Music Live
Steinberg and Rain Recordings joined forces with Jar Music "Live" in a partnership that promises to provide Artist's and Music Fans with an original new way to enjoy and supporting both live and recorded music.
JMG's Music Executive, Mr. Antonio J Robinson, said - its affiliated labels are constantly striving to develop new avenues to assist musicians to capture and recreate, on CD, their live performances and are thrilled to announce this new partnership with Steinberg and Rain Recordings. This will go along way to tackle a reoccurring issue encountered by today's emerging Artists - The inability to obtain a professional Industry standard recording that captures the essences of their live performance and songwriting skills.
This collaboration will give bands and, eventually, music fans the opportunity to listen back to a high quality multi-track recording of the entire performance that can be available after the show. Future plans include creating a music social website were re-mixes' can be uploaded by the band and where the music community can review and vote for the best track. The best tracks will be. Then remixed at the British Grove Studio. This social website will be of great assistance to our A&R's in uncovering new talented songwriters and bands".
JMG's shows draws in exceptional acts and with Steinberg this is a perfect match for the task in hand. Steinberg's success in this field is unquestionable with endorsements of producers for The Prodigy, Muse, Bloc Party, White Stripes, In Extremo, Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, Fatboy Slim and the late Michael Jackson. After a test run that involved recording and remixing at the showcases at the O2 Academy Islington in London, the partnership has agreed to expand their program to include a full-scale worldwide coverage of JMG's BreakOut Awards and festivals, in addition to a series of specialized shows in collaboration with The British Grove Studio named "Plug'd In".
The O2 Academy (London, Liverpool, Glasgow), The Cavern (Liverpool), Jam House (Edinburgh), Concorde 2 (Brighton), Academy (Manchester), Elysee Montmare (Paris), Monster (Malaysia), Olympia Theatre (Male) are but a few of the stops across the world. At these shows the partnership will provide further assistance to bands, including copies of Cubase 5 and a mixdown session of their live material at London's Nuendo-equipped British Grove recording studios.

All signals from the live-stage will be routed into Nuendo using 3x MR816CSX interfaces. Again chosen for their sound quality, the MR816's will be used in a configuration to allow the monitor signals to have compression and eq applied using the interface's powerful DSP. This incredibly versatile Nuendo setup will allow the venue's and festival's engineers to ensure that the on-stage monitor mix sounds exactly as the musicians require whilst ensuring that a clean audio signal is recorded to disk for application of effects and eq later in the mixing process".
In order to further ensure reliability and to enable engineers to safely back-up and exchange files, the engineers will be hosting the Nuendo system on a Rain Recording PC complete with removable drive caddies.
