Liam Gallagher plans Beatles film with Revolution
Oasis frontman's In 1 Productions with John Brice working with Revolution to adapt Richard DiLello's "The Longest Cocktail Party", about the rise and fall of Apple Corps.
Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher has formed a new production company "In 1 Productions", and will develop and produce a feature film about The Beatles' Apple Corps. The film will be adapted from Richard DiLello's The Longest Cocktail Party.
The project is being developed and produced with Revolution Films, the active London-based production company founded by Andrew Eaton and Michael Winterbottom. Gallagher will be in Cannes to launch the project.
The film-makers said: "This will be a film with humour and affection providing an insider's look at what it meant to be a young man caught up in the wild swirl of the music business, celebrities and the tail end of the swinging sixties' in London."
Gallagher founded "In 1 Production" earlier this year to work in digital media. The company's founders also include John Brice, Steve Allen, Simon Rendell, Nigel Grant and Paul Gallagher.
The adaptation from the book was first published in 1972 and it chronicles the rise and fall of the Beatles' company Apple Corps and the band's breakup.
