When 36,000 students return to Preston on the 10th September for the 2011/12 scholastic year. Jar Music Live will be there to welcome them with a musical extravaganza at 53 Degrees - Preston's home of live music.

Jar Music Live as teamed up, once again, with Lancashire's Award Winning venue, The University of Central Lancashire (or UCLAN) and Freshers Fortnight to bring the most exciting new artists right to the heart of Lancashire.

Freshers Fortnight is essentially two weeks of live music, entertainment and comedy to welcome back old and new students giving them a sample of what they can expect from Preston's nightlife and what UCLAN has to offer.
In 2010 Preston was awaken by the sounds of Ellie Goulding, Tinie Tempah, Chase & Status, The Vaccines, The View and Example, while the Guild Hall had comedy from Frankie Boyle, Al Murray, Jason Manford and Mark Watson with music from Pixie Lott.

This year we are set to emulate last year's event , or maybe even surpass it!
Confirmed line-ups will be released on the 12th August and wristbands will go on sale on the same day.

Purchase a Freshers Fortnightly wristband and not only you will be able to enjoy Jar Music's events, but you will also be able to take part in the biggest and most diverse club-nights around! Featuring world renowned DJ's such as Judge Jules, Lisa Lashes, Pendulum (DJ Set), Annie Mac and Eddie Haliwell to name but a few!
And then there is PROMO, the best student mash up in the north west; bringing you legendary Foam, UV and Paint party's!
