3rd February 2012 – O2 Academy2 Islington - TBW Album Launch Show

This Boy Wonders has recorded three EPs. The first, released back in 2009 entitled ‘Chasing Rainbows’, was a very different sound from now, with a folk/ acoustic feel that runs through the record. However, crowd pleasers such as ‘Chasing Rainbows’ and ‘Home’, are still played in their live sets as it was these songs that gained the band support from BBC introducing back in 2009.

The second EP ‘Frame by Frame’ was released in 2010 and moved the sound of TBW forward. With heavier guitar riffs and drum beats being played throughout on songs such as ‘As I Go Now’ and with an “epic” feel on the track ‘Phoenix’ the band gained new supporters.

‘Midnight Writer’ is the third EP in the TBW collection and was released in 2011. This demo presents the band in a new light and carries a heavy blues and rock influenced sound that represents a new maturity with the song writing.

Over the course of 3 years they have been heavily supported by BBC introducing and in August 2011 they made their debut performance on the BBC Introducing stages at Reading and Leeds Festival. and JML’s Plug’d In Showcases at the O2 Academy2 and O2 Academy Islington as well as The Cavern in Liverpool.

 

TBW songs captivate the listeners with a beautiful blues vocal and a dreamlike soundscape that allows the listener to escape far away, wherever their imagination takes them. It would be a crime to music if TBW don't have a highly successful music career. Keep an eye out for them and make sure you pencil 3rd February in your calendar. O2 Academy2 Islington will see the album launch of one of the hottest unsigned band of 2012.
